Here’s a short sample of work where I’ve got artistic license to turn out something unique and fresh.

Creativity is just having the courage to throw conventions out the window and just trust in your own instincts.

It’s just a game of hit and miss. Of course I mostly miss, but it’s all in the name of art and having something inspiration go out.

I have no idea where this came from. It's a strange mix of violence and meaning. It’s an amalgamation of horror film iconography and comedic imagery creating an austere landscape scene for this CD cover. Nightmare material, seriously.

This cat-like thing appeared out of nowhere. I wanted something weird, and I think this happened after browsing way too many contemporary Japanese comics. I’ve yet to figure out why the creature is blue. Your guess is as good as mine.

More austereness. This time it’s courtesy of a very strange robot from the 1950s that I found while browsing through the LIFE annuals of that year. Caught my eye, scanned it and produced one of my favorite pieces. It’s another narrative piece I guess. Enjoy.

Magazine Cover – Bleeding Edge Here’s some older work from when I was doing some art direction on a local magazine in Cape Town. Inspired by reading Foucault, I was having a very anti-popular culture week. Reading through a medical journal and found a wicked brain. Scanned it and ripped it out of this little guy’s head.

Black and white is not boring when you get into the splatter and drip craze. Well, if you like trendy over production in Photoshop you’ll love this. FYI: Those gargoyle type birds were ancient artifacts I took photos of in Delphi, Greece. They are 4500 years old, and decided that I should Photoshop them. Why not?

Lyrics Sheet
Thought that you might appreciate the look and feel of my vector-grid-like lyrics sheet. I like the colour scheme and the simplicity interlaced with seriously grimy feel. It worked well and repro came out perfectly. Less is more is a bore, more or less.
